Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) for Manager is a one-day management-level course that provides a structured overview of HDD projects, responsibilities, risks, planning requirements, and performance controls. The programme is designed for managers, project leaders, contract personnel, engineers, and decision-makers who oversee HDD work but may not operate drilling equipment directly. It focuses on the information managers need to plan responsibly, communicate with technical teams, and make informed project decisions.

Participants are introduced to the HDD process from preliminary survey and bore planning through pilot drilling, reaming, product-pipe installation, and final documentation. The course explains the roles of the drill operator, locator, mud technician, supervisor, client, utility owner, and support crew.
